Grub World X PROJECT 02
Sibylla ‘Billie’ Robertson is a Narrm/Melbourne-based artist whose experimental practice explores clay, glaze chemistry, glass. Her project Grub World functions as a space for process-driven studies, bridging larger conceptual works.
The spontaneous and exploratory nature of Grub World means the works are typically non-functional by design, inviting reflection on materiality, process and the possibilities of experimentation.
Robertson completed a Master of Fine Art at the National Art School, Sydney, and received the Graduate to Studio membership prize from the Australian Ceramics Association. Her work has been exhibited nationally and internationally, including Oh Me, Oh My (Gaffa Gallery, Sydney) and It’s Nothing Personal (Seventh Gallery, Melbourne), and has been recognised with the Mansfield Ceramic Prize and the N.E. Petheridge Award.
