Sport can sometimes narrow our focus to individual progression. But the longer I spend reflecting on my time in it, the more I realise the real impact comes when we think more broadly about the stories we carry and the responsibility we have to share them.
We all have the opportunity to own our experiences - even the good, the messy, the uncertain, and decide what we want to do with them next.
No one else is going to tell that story for us. And if there is an opportunity out there to contribute, to build something, or to move a conversation forward… sometimes you just have to be brave enough to go and grab it.
Grateful to for who work tirelessly to create spaces that encourage athletes to grow not just in sport, but beyond it.

Aussie @_g_brown retired from professional cycling at the top of her game in 2024, bowing out as Olympic and world champion, but even then, amid the gold medal glory, was plotting her next move into skincare.
As an elite athlete whose arenas were the open roads of Europe, Asia, Australia, the Middle East, and UK, Brown was never able to find a sunscreen that was fit for her purpose. The high-end cosmetic ones sold at beauty counters often didn’t hold up to the physical rigours of competing in the elements and on the world stage for hours, days, or weeks on end, and the sports-specific solutions were sometimes cumbersome and distracting to performance if they leaked into your eyes and started to sting. So, she made @sunmotion_au , striving to combine the best aspects of both varieties.
