Snow and I - my greatest love story of all time round 2: Harbin, Heilongjiang in Northern China!
I had the literal time of my life, I love snow so much and I love the ice and snow festival, it was such a dream come true, I cried from happiness and then the tears froze and I loved that too. I want to be cool about it but I loved it so much that I can’t be cool.
The Harbin ice and snow festival is the biggest in the world and I’ve wanted to go since I was a kid! There’s a whole city constructed of ice (this year they replicated a valued historical structure from every nation in Asia (including Palestine)!)
The Songhua river freezes over for most of the year and it becomes a mini festival and tbh some of the rides were fkn terrifying!
The weather was soooooo cold (-15 to -25) that I couldn’t stay outside for more than an hour before needing to retreat inside to warm my bones lol
