Fruit Music is a Victoria artist making fun, gay, pop and dance tracks under a slew of monikers since the first generation of indie sleaze. This project is a much more open-ended exploration than his heartbreak anthem days of Dreamboat, with no aims beyond a pursuit of self expression.

Max slid an early cut of Blouse into my inbox and I was immediately riled up. Love a feminine top. Such power. Peter’s vocals perfectly stomp through the party with so much expression that I was itching to chop and play with. Every line is a gem. And Max created a whole platform rhythm that could go anywhere. It’s a pounding track that felt really inspiring to shape from a different angle. I gave it a lot of time to flow and let melodies evolve out of the base. Highly recommend bouncing around alone to “rayon, cotton, acrylic, silk” on loop for hours. I think I was also like, “what if Madonna’s Confessions had an extended tech house track on it?”
