I had the privilege of meeting the incredible Korean artist, BYUNGSUB KIM in Seoul.
His narrative series is built on striking imbalance: the heritage of Najeon Chilgi (intricate mother-of-pearl inlay) and the raw spirit of Jangseung (traditional wooden guardians) colliding with industrial stainless steel.
He recontextualize these traditional fragments, elements of ancient Korea architecture and folklore into a sharp and modern design language. Think of it as Korean heritage, but with the iPhone 17393839 updates. 🙃🥹
