Last week I spent 5 days documenting a relay team from Queens, New York take on The Speed Project. The Speed Project is a race from Los Angeles to Las Vegas totaling 340 miles ran. No Rules. No spectators.
Being able to play the background and observe, I quickly learned that these runners werenāt racing for a finish line but for something much deeper. I learned about their pain, their purpose, and their joy. This allowed me to reflect on my own journey.
You become the sum of the people you surround yourself with and I spent 48 hours in the desert with 12 complete strangers. By the end of our journey I was able to see and takeaway something fascinating from each individual. I am extremely grateful to have experienced The Speed Project.
