Towards the end of last year I was asked to make three extra long pendants for a new @gailsbakery
They spent a few weeks taking over my entire studio, at times I felt more canoe maker than light maker! Such a fun challenge to do.
I’ve been in to grab a coffee there a couple of times since and it’s always a bit surreal seeing them hanging up. Really happy with how they turned out.

From the team behind @brothermarcus_ and mixologist Angelos Bafas (@mr.ungarnished ) comes Kamara - a sleek, high-end cocktail bar in the heart of Soho, designed by Finch Interiors in collaboration with Lekàla Editions.
For the lighting, Lekàla Editions commissioned designer–maker Henry Farrant of Findere, whose sculptural, hand-formed fittings bring a warm, tactile glow to the space. Crafted using traditional techniques, each piece is entirely unique - a functional work of art that complements Kamara’s rich, cave-like interior.

Very happy to have a feature in @homesandgardensofficial October issue! Still surreal to see myself in a magazine. Huge thanks once again to @rory_stylist for the support. I’ve been very bad at posting lately, lamp making has been taking up all my energy, but forever grateful. Lots to share.
Earlier this week we had the opportunity to explore the amazing studio of @_findere_ founded by Henry Farrant.
It felt a bit more like exploring a den in the woods, which is no surprise because Henry creates handmade light sculptures, inspired by his deep connection to nature and childhood spent in fields and forests.
In these snaps, you can see some of the feature light pendants for our new restaurant @canal.canal.canal - designed to bring a bit of the outside in.

Treow
H 131 x W 31 cm
Named after the Old English word trēow, meaning “tree” and “truth,” it also signified a pledge of loyalty, a vital bond in early communities where survival depended on trust.
Resembling the trunk of a tree, the paper skin is dyed with bark from fallen ancient oaks that I collect myself. It’s a dye I always return to for its warmth.
Treow is one of a few new designs I’ll be showing for @wondering.people as part of their collaboration with @plainenglishdesign for London Craft Week. If in the area, please come along to see them!
Very excited to be showing some new work for London craft week, a collaboration between @wondering.people and @plainenglishdesign at their Pimlico road showroom.
The show explores slowness, process, and our connection to the natural world, all of which are central to the way I work and closely tied to the things I make.
Also sharing a few glimpses from the last few weeks in the studio, some new lamps I’ve been working on. More to come soon.

‘Hogshead’
Named after the barrels of ale and wine once rolled into taverns and cellars. Its paper skin is dyed using oak bark and iron. Tannin rich oak dye transforms when iron is introduced, a process used since medieval times. Iron would be added to deepen colours, fix them and shift them. Warm browns turned to smoky greys.
