L’ascolto si configura come 𝘀𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗼𝗻𝗶𝘇𝘇𝗮𝘇𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗲:
una negoziazione continua tra corpi, materiali e presenze più-che-umane.
Tre giorni per disallinearsi
dalle logiche di controllo del territorio
dalle forme stabili di produzione culturale
dalle gerarchie tra umano e non umano.

produced 𝗮 𝘀𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻.
Listening becomes a form of 𝗮𝘁𝘁𝘂𝗻𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁:
a continuous negotiation between bodies, materials, and more-than-human presences.

🎨 INTRODUCING: FENNESZ
Der österreichische Musiker, Komponist und Klangkünstler Fennesz (*1962 in Wien) zählt zu den prägenden Persönlichkeiten der experimentellen Musik. In seinen vielbeachteten Soloarbeiten ebenso wie in Kollaborationen mit u.a. Ryuichi Sakamoto, David Sylvian und Jim O‘Rourke verbinden sich komplexe Klangkompositionen mit überraschender emotionaler Tiefe und körperlicher Präsenz.
Im Rahmen von INNSBRUCK INTERNATIONAL ist Fennesz in der Citykirche zu erleben. Dort eröffnet er einen Klangraum aus fragmentierter Gitarre und vielschichtig strukturierter Elektronik – eine unverwechselbare Synthese, in der Melodie, Geräusch und Struktur einander auf Augenhöhe begegnen.

Through his acclaimed solo works and collaborations with Ryuichi Sakamoto, David Sylvian, Jim O’Rourke and others, he imbues complex sound compositions with unexpected emotional resonance and physicality.
For INNSBRUCK INTERNATIONAL, Fennesz will perform in the Citykirche, immersing listeners in his unique fusion of fractured guitar and textured electronics, where melody, noise, and structure co-exist on equal terms.

The world premiere by Oscar Jockel, created in collaboration with Fennesz and performed with musicians from the Karajan Academy, unfolded as an immersive experience shaped by sound, space, and creativity.✨

Mit Trompete, E-Gitarre und elektronischen Sounds entstand ein Dialog zwischen akustischem und synthetischem Klang, der für eine besondere Atmosphäre gesorgt hat.
Zeitgenössische Musik im Rahmen unseres Festivals „Tage der Zeitgenossen“ im OHO.
Im Mittelpunkt stehen Künstler:innen, die das Hören neu denken und die Gegenwartsmusik in all ihren Facetten erlebbar machen. Dieses Festival lädt dazu ein, neugierig zu sein, sich überraschen zu lassen und musikalische Grenzen spielend zu überschreiten.

Una serata di co-headliner che riunisce due visioni radicali e complementari dell’elettronica e della chitarra contemporanea: aprirà Ambarchi, seguirà Fennesz.
Oren Ambarchi
Chitarrista, compositore e figura centrale della musica sperimentale internazionale, Oren Ambarchi ha ridefinito negli ultimi trent’anni il linguaggio della chitarra elettrica attraverso una sensibilità compositiva sospesa tra minimalismo, improvvisazione e tensione rock rallentata fino all’astrazione.
Le sue opere si muovono tra texture fragili e bassi profondissimi, tra rarefazione e fisicità del suono, in un equilibrio costante tra struttura e deriva. Accanto all’attività solista, ha collaborato con alcuni dei nomi più significativi della scena d’avanguardia – da Jim O’Rourke a Keiji Haino – ed è fondatore dell’etichetta Black Truffle, punto di riferimento per la ricerca sonora contemporanea.
Fennesz
Progetto solista del compositore e sound artist viennese Christian Fennesz, Fennesz è tra le figure più influenti dell’elettronica sperimentale dagli anni Novanta. Il suo lavoro fonde chitarra e laptop, melodia e interferenza digitale, in cui il rumore e l’armonia convivono in un equilibrio di straordinaria intensità emotiva.
Album come Endless Summer hanno segnato un punto di svolta nella musica elettronica, tra ambient, glitch e post-rock. Con il recente Mosaic (2024), Fennesz approfondisce una scrittura fatta di frammenti, sospensioni e stratificazioni: un’opera che dal vivo si plasma dall’acustica dello spazio e dall’imprevedibilità del momento.
Il suo concerto non è una semplice riproduzione dei brani, ma una ricomposizione in tempo reale: distorsioni granulose e improvvise aperture melodiche danno vita a un’esperienza intensa, contemplativa e avvolgente.
