Eva Stammers’ Haste Away turns childhood summers into a thoughtful womenswear story, rooted in the memory of her family’s beach hut built by her great-grandfather after WWII and passed down for over 50 years. “Haste Away” “Haste Away” is a nostalgic exploration of childhood summers, captured through the lens of my family’s cherished beach hut. Built by my Great- Grandfather after WWII, the hut remained in the family and was passed down for over 50 years until the early 2000s . The collection draws heavily from that deep personal connection, using the hut as a symbol of generational continuity and the timeless nature of childhood freedom. I took inspiration from old family photos of my Mum and Aunt as children at the “Haste Away” beach hut in the 70s and also looked further into children’s wear from that decade and reinterpreted its silhouettes, textures and playful spirit into womenswear pieces.
