From my ongoing self-portrait series Woman Wrapper, where I turn slurs and phrases I grew up hearing as a “feminine” boy in Nigeria into symbolic portraits. Each image is built around a phrase many boys who do not fit rigid ideas of masculinity know too well.
The title Woman Wrapper is a popular slur in Nigeria, implying that a man is not a “real” man because of the presence of femininity — framing it as weak, embarrassing, and something that should be corrected. Rather than denying femininity, this series insists on its presence, its strength, and its complexity.
I honestly can’t wait to share what I’ve done so far 🥹 There’s something deeply therapeutic about turning insult into art 😅

Still Frame journal: Bad Films. 🎬
I saw someone say entertainment is overrated and that the word “mid” might be one of the worst things to happen to cinema. The more I thought about it, the more it made sense. We’ve gotten used to judging films by comfort.
Did I enjoy it?
Was it good?
But nobody asks:
Why did this make me uncomfortable?
Why did it annoy me?
Being repulsed is an experience.
Being confused is an experience.
Even being bored is an experience.
We treat these reactions like failures when sometimes they’re the point.
Everything has to make sense now. Over-explained. Messages so obvious there’s no room left for reflection.
Not every film is meant to entertain you.
Some disturb, some confuse, Some sit with you.

‘GRAVITY’🌑
This series began as an attempt to understand what pulls us toward each other — and what keeps us apart. It explores the emotional tension within male relationships in places where softness often feels unsafe.
Shot between a quiet room and an open field, the project traces a gradual shift from restraint to a kind of gentle rebellion. In the room, closeness exists but feels restrained…silence, posture, and faith all weigh on the body. Step outside, and that weight loosens. The light hits differently, the gestures change, and there’s room to simply be.
For me, Gravity is about how connection bends us, how even when we resist it, we still fall toward it.
(And honestly, shoutout to the models David, Titus and ‘Purity’ junior for getting way too good at acting emotionally conflicted 😂❤️)
