When I got the casting through from my agent, I just knew I had to nail this role. A beautiful film based off what last year's supreme court ruling means for women like me. Beautifully written with sensitivity, accuracy and a really important message about what it's like for trans women.

🎉 32 today 🎂
Gosh, I'm 32 years old 😫 How did that happen?? I'm not sure if it's just me, but as a trans woman, especially with starting my transition at 27, it's easy to feel like you've missed out on most of your life, hiding away and pretending to be someone you're not for your safety.
I almost mourn all of my teens and 20s that I feel I've missed, and which I know would 100% be better had I been in a position to transition earlier, experiencing everything I experienced as the real me.
I make the joke that the day I came out, I was 18 again, finally starting my adult life, which today would make me 23 (which is how I mentally feel, although definitely not physically 😅).
It's important to recognise the journey though, as despite having a very difficult time throughout school, trying (not so well at times) to hide who I was, there were still some good times, and they've all lead me to who I am today.
I remember running around the kitchen in the 90s singing this song, throwing my arms in the air on every, "NEVER!" It's quite fitting now :)

Such a beautiful date night last night at Llandaff Cathedral with my @robyn.perrett 🥰
Rings & Dragons! Music played from Lord of the Rings & Game of Thrones on a string quartet by candlelight.
What an incredible experience! Highlight was definitely The Rains of Castamere, which was super haunting in that setting! But also so was Isengard, as well as the Lighting of the Beacons...and Denethor's plum tomato eating music whilst Faramir charges across the Pelennor Fields towards the forces of Mordor in Osgiliath 😍🤓
Would definitely recommend if anyone is interested! Hopefully we'll be going back for different ones soon :) 🤞🏼

It's been a while since I posted a selfie. Life has been crazy recently and has felt like a right slog!
I worked a long and very mentally/emotionally difficult job at the start of the year, which overlapped with the life changing bombshell of the UK supreme court ruling. As a result of that, and getting physically attacked twice because of who i am, I underwent surgery on my vocal chords over the Summer which has been quite a mentally challenging recovery. The climate right now for any minority group is pretty horrendous, with the rise of the far right. Of course all the other fun things which life throws at you has been like an uphill sprint in roller skates with hurdles and barrels being thrown at me at the same time 😅
But here I am 🥰
I have just got myself back to work doing some dailies as my voice has started getting stronger in this recovery process, and I'm thoroughly enjoying it! It's actually nice to see me smile and do what I enjoy doing! Also, the lighting in this EZ Up was 😘👌🏼🎬!
I guess we just have to keep on pushing through, make the changes we need in our lives and find the little things that make us smile 🥰
To anyone else struggling at the moment with life's volatility, please look after yourselves and find those little things that keep you going. There's a lot of us who are in this together and understand what you may be going through.
It was also my 4 year anniversary on HRT a few weeks ago, so it's nice to milestone it!
If anyone has any Vocal Feminisation Surgery questions btw (or anything else), please feel free to ask and I'll try get you ☺️

The print is now framed in our lounge. I honestly love this so much, especially how it adds a pop of colour to the room with how blue our eyes are!
Do excuse the nerdy Star Wars music, but with Across the Stars being the love theme in the prequels, and our eyes looking like galaxies colliding, I thought it was fitting 😍🤓🌌
