Most beginners go to the gym without a plan or understanding the real reason they are there. What they want to work on, what they like (or what they don’t like). When everything feels unfamiliar and confusing, ‘just going more’ doesn’t always work, because going more with the same sporadic plan isn’t going to create confidence but probably more confusion. What worked for Imogen was simplifying what she was already trying to do, helping her understand what was working and what wasn’t. And more importantly, getting her to enjoy what she was doing rather than dreading every session. Within weeks... She wasn’t overthinking every set She was just...training as if it was nothing. It’s been an absolutely pleasure training these two! Story time behind many of these comments 😂 Openly calling the squat rack “the cage” to the point where they bought me a sign for it😂 And had to bring in reference photos for the badger comment in their card! Always a pleasure training women who gain so much confidence in the gym during our sessions and even better when they have fun doing it!

I’m super excited for the February Find Your Strength group, and not even in a loud, launchy way 😂 In a this actually matters to women kind of way. So many women avoid the gym not because they don’t care about their health… …but because they’ve never been taught properly, felt welcomed, or felt like they belonged. Find Your Strength is an 8-week beginner strength programme designed specifically for women who want to learn how to use free weights safely and confidently, without feeling overwhelmed in a busy gym. It’s about learning how your body moves and building confidence in those patterns first. We always prioritise: Movement patterns 👉🏼 then form and refinement 👉🏼 then adding heavier weight. I’m absolutely not perfect! I don’t have to be, and neither do you 🩷 I’m a personal trainer… but I’m also a very normal human being 😂 I don’t live off chicken and rice every day I don’t train 7 days a week, or walk around shouting “NO PAIN NO GAIN.” Honestly, half the time I’m just trying to remember what day it is 😂 I wanted to share a few things about me because so many beginners think they need to be perfect before they start the gym or begin strength training and it’s the biggest lie EVER!
