Sustainability meets structural rhythm Our purpose-built installation for @hendersonlandhk@centralyardshk , Hong Kong’s newest global icon, reimagines waste from the community into a work or art. Crafted from 150,000+ recycled plastic bottles, the bespoke feature wall and bench were designed by the EDITECTURE team and crafted and upcycled by @re_edit_lab to infuse the heart of Hong Kong with a sustainable soul.

This March, @_editecture_ transforms the landscape of @artbaselhongkong . Step inside a bold, crimson-hued environment where spatial design meets couture. At its heart lies a one-of-a-kind dress, a masterpiece composed of thousands of handcrafted Guangcai porcelain tiles—a tribute to Cantonese artistry requiring over 10,000 hours to complete.
The space itself is a tribute to the craft: surfaces flow with the intricate layering of Guangcai, a glossy tabletop captures the essence of its famed luster, and every corner reveals a new detail, just like the porcelain it honors.

Designed by @_editecture_ , the UBS Art Studio is an industry-pioneer in circular design, upcycling 10,500 plastic bottles (150kg) to create the installation. The project incorporates 90kg of custom upcycled plastic and reuses 40% of the materials from the 2023 Junior Art Hub, including 18 wavy panels and eco-friendly carpeting.
To minimize transport emissions, the studio features flat-pack, honeycomb cardboard furniture designed for space-efficient shipping and low fuel consumption. To ensure a zero-waste legacy, these multi-functional structures will be repurposed and donated to the local community after the event, transforming temporary art into a lasting social contribution.

We challenged ourselves to reimagine the Mercedes-Benz G-Class—not as a sculpture, but as a living system. The result? A life-sized installation built from 40,531 upcycled plastic bottles, designed to transform into functional furniture.
