For as long as I can remember, the human body has fascinated me, its strength, its fragility, its intricate design. This dress is a tribute to that fascination, my debut piece for #amvca12 , inspired by the skeletal system. Each bead and curve embodies a frame we so often take for granted, ribcage, spine, and ribs. Wrapped in gothic elegance, this is the start of a new chapter. I poured my soul into this team who brought this vision to life. This is just the beginning, stay with me as I build my dream.

The process of creating this piece for the #amvca2026 started as an idea slowly became one of the most challenging yet fulfilling creative processes I’ve experienced….but I knew I had to see this vision through regardless.
This piece pushed me creatively in ways I didn’t expect. From sketching to structure, to hand-beading every detail inspired by the human skeletal system,
A special thank you to @the_actual_abbas for the motivation and reminder that creativity should never wait for perfect conditions. You told us to get a model and create, and honestly that stayed with me throughout this process. Sometimes you simply have to start with what you have and let your work speak for itself.
Despite the chaos, sleepless nights, and pressure, I’m proud that I showed up creatively and brought this vision to life.

This is my entry for the @goodmama.nigeria “Your mum’s style, your runway moment” challenge.
The good mama detergent was used as a clutch bag and the long sachets was used as my ipele typically worn by the Yorubas
This is more than a challenge for me, it’s a reminder of my mum’s unwavering love and warmth for me over the years and also an expression of myself as a fashion designer to showcase my love for styling and creating.
