2009 ➡️ 2019 …This is a tough one for me to put out there. Ten years and a whole lot of life between these two pictures. A lot of laughter, tears, joy, loss, love, and heartbreak. But from all these experiences: growth. My journey has never been a constant, linear, upward progression, and that is totally okay (honestly, whose progress and growth ever is). In 2009, I was incredibly self-conscious, and felt uncomfortable in my own skin, but I slowly started to learn how to fight for myself and I grew, with lots of ups and downs along the way. While I definitely still battle self-confidence issues, believing in myself and my abilities and realizing my own self-worth at times, I know I’ve come a long way since then and I’m much stronger now and proud of all the really amazing things I’ve accomplished since that first photo was taken, both for my health and my career. While I’m still trying to find my way, I’m working on finding enjoyment in the journey rather than stressing about not being at the destination. Excited (and super anxious too lol 😳) to see where the next decade will take me. Working for big changes in 2020.
