If Detroit is my spiritual home, EFunk is my bedroom. I attended for the first time in 2016 and haven’t missed it since. This party changed how I listen to and think about music — the way @soulclapofficial holds down that sunrise set on the patio, the energy in the air when @staceypullen_official comes on in the alley. There are so many things about this party that makes it special. The line up is always perfectly curated with a balance of Detroit legends, pioneers of House music, as well as unknown gems and newcomers. It all just hits so right. I told myself I was gonna play this party one day. Ten years later, here we are. Honestly one of the bookings I’m most proud of, period. I attended @movementdetroit for the first time back in 2016. This was also the first time I went to @soulclapofficial House of EFunk after party @tv_lounge . Something shifted in me that weekend and ever since, Detroit has felt like a spiritual home to me. It felt like I found a part of myself I didn’t know I was looking for. I’ve come back every year since. No matter what. Working or not, this is the one I always do for me, where I let my freak fly a little higher than usual. What Soul Clap created with E Funk is deeper than a party. It’s a space, a feeling, a community that really shaped me. This year, I’m so so proud to announce that I’ll playing EFunk. Nashville!! Here’s a sneak peak of the vibes and dance moves I’ll be bringing to @nwm.nashville tomorrow night!! I haven’t been in town since 2022 so I’ll be making up for lost time by playing 2 sets!! Catch me in the main room 10pm-12am, setting the tone before @avision . Then, come close the night with me in the Vera Lounge from 1:45-3am. Oh, and we’re keeping the bday celebrations going for @knyghts_ so you know we gonna be extra weird and silly. Ive been celebrating my birthday for the last 13 days. It started in Boston, playing b2b with two of my mentors and best friends @doorlydj & @soulclapcharlie . Then we went to Miami where so many incredible people came out to make me feel like the most special person on the planet. Then I got on @thefriendshipofficial for one final transmission. Got right on @groovecruise after that and rode out the vibes strong for the next few days. I reconnected with someone super special and danced the night away along side some of my favorite people. So many people have asked me which is the better ship but the truth is that the name of the party makes no difference. What matters is the people, moments, and relationships that make it all so special and meaningful. I never knew I could be so happy but everywhere I look I’m shown so much love and support and reminded that I have so much love in my life and that’s literally all I could ever ask for. While the rest of the world seems so dark and divided, it’s important to remember that the dance floor is filled with so much light and unity. We are all humans and have so much more in common than we have difference. Hold the people you love close and remember that we are much more connected than we realize. ✌🏼❤️🪩

I’ve had the distinct pleasure of playing every edition of @thefriendshipofficial and in less than 48 hours we embark on the final transmission. I can’t even begin to explain how special this event and the community that makes what it is. So many memories and relationships that I hold near and dear to my heart happened because of it. While I’m sad to see it go, I’m excited to see what the next chapter brings. I am so honored and thankful for the opportunity to be a part of this family. Not only has this DJ and producer been a force to be reckoned with behind the decks, but he’s continued to do plenty more than meets the eye.
