Definitely one of my favorite Good Friday songs. There is something about it… the words are dramatic, almost as though they are trying to carry the full weight, the tension, and the triumph of the Cross.
“Now death, where is your sting?
Our resurrected King has rendered you defeated?”
In that moment, everything converged.
The story didn’t start at the Cross, it had been unfolding all along.
He was there when Abraham stood on that mountain, willing to offer Isaac… and God provided a lamb.
He was there in Egypt, when the blood of the Passover lamb marked the doorposts, and death passed over.
And on the Cross, Yeshua, our Passover Lamb, fulfilled the redemptive plan God had in mind from the very beginning.
This has always been God’s heart toward man, not just to judge, but to redeem… to restore… to bring us back into alignment with Him.
And even now, He is still revealing Himself, not distant, not silent, but present, calling, drawing, restoring.
Friday may carry the weight of sacrifice…
But it also carries the certainty of victory.

Today, all my gratitude is to Yahweh, the God I serve. He is faithful, constant, unchanging.
He crowns the year with His goodness, and my path overflows with abundance.
Every step I took was ordered,
every season carried meaning,
every moment was held in His hands.
I give thanks for the miracle of every passing day,
for breath in my lungs,
for strength renewed each morning,
for grace that met me daily
and mercy that never failed.
I am grateful for the blessing of people, those who walked with me through the year, those who stood by me in joy and in trial, those who were instruments of God’s love, and those whose presence shaped my journey.
Thank You Lord, for a life continually held by You.
