Ahead of Menstrual Hygiene Day, I want to talk about something that does not get enough attention in the period poverty conversation: toilets.
When we think about what girls need to manage their periods, we think about pads. But menstrual dignity is not just about products. It is about having a safe, private place to use them. For thousands of girls in Nigeria, that place does not exist. Not at school. Not at home. And because this part of the conversation is so often left out, it continues to be left unfunded and unaddressed.
At The EME Foundation @theemefoundation , we are working to change that. We are building a toilet at a school where over 1,400 students have no toilet on site. This Menstrual Hygiene Day, I am calling on you to support our work.
Donate ₦1,000 or more. Every contribution brings us closer to a Nigeria where every girl can manage her period with the dignity she deserves.

Volunteering isn’t about having time, it’s about having heart💖🌸
Showing up, giving back, and making a difference where it matters most. Even the smallest act of kindness can create a ripple of change.
Serving others, growing within, and leaving the world a little better than I found it.
