HOME TURF. In my head it’s always been running A marathon vs running THE marathon. London has always been THE marathon to me and did everything to prove it. Took a swing on the goal time, didn’t hit, didn’t matter. After not making last year’s start line this was a celebration. Miles of shoulder-to-shoulder 5 deep crowds. Grateful for every cheer; shout out all the strangers, friends, fam and the @grovelane_ zone/energy centre. Extra love to my wife for being the greatest bootleg t shirt designer/supporter/epsom salt bath runner of all time. Sincere apologies to whoever’s awaiting high five I tried to send into April 2027. ❤️🪩
Sweaty post-run selfie to celebrate, 3 and a bit months after Bell’s Palsy diagnosis, finally being able to (sort of) smile with both sides of my face again 🙌🤘
Hackney @legacyraces half: 1:24.56 and a 4 & a half minute PB. Been a testing last couple of weeks so went into this with no expectations and maybe that’s the secret sauce. Shout out @marcus1rc and everyone involved in putting this race on - vibes were unmatched, smiles and support all round the course. Community done right. Props to sharpshooter @simonrphoto on the snaps working the magic. Extra special thanks to my number one cheerleader @_esmemargaret for being the most supportive wife/ teammate/ hype person I could ever hope for ❤️. Blister fallout shot in the last side be warned 🩸. 6 weeks til London.
Feb greatest hits aka recycled stories and some bonus tracks. Thirty-six. Jerk roasts. 290km. Seaside birthday. Grown up biscuits for a grown up boy with a grown up driving licence (thanks mum). A charity shop mug I regret not buying. Kuba wraps. ❤️
