A proud moment for the workshop team today as Seaward 42 – Seaward Spirit departed Neyland after an extensive refit with us.
From hull coatings to new teak decks, mechanical work, electronics, varnish, full respray, soft furnishings and upholstery—and much more—this project represents months of craftsmanship, attention to detail, and teamwork brought together in one exceptional result.
A true testament to what can be achieved when entrusted with the special task of restoring such a unique and much-loved vessel—ensuring she not only looks exceptional but can be enjoyed for many years to come.

At Dale Sailing, we’re delighted to be a partner in the Aberdaugleddau Biosecurity Community Development (ABCD) Project — supported by £959,180 of funding through the Welsh Government’s Nature Networks Programme, delivered in partnership with the National Lottery Heritage Fund.
A key part of this will be the installation of new vessel wash down facilities here and at the other boatyards on the waterway. Together, we’ll be working to help prevent the spread of invasive non-native species (INNS) and reduce harmful runoff and safeguarding the waters we all rely on.
We’re incredibly proud to be collaborating with our fantastic partners across the Haven: Port of Milford Haven, Rudders Boatyard, mainstaymarinesolutions, East Llanion Marine and Lawrenny Yacht Station, with special thanks to Pembrokeshire Marine SAC Officer Sue Burton, for all her incredible work and determination to enable this to happen.
The project is about to begin, running from April 2026 to March 2029 and will leave a lasting legacy of improved infrastructure, increased awareness and stronger collaboration to tackle marine invasive species in Wales and beyond.

After an incredible 25 years with us (this time around!), we’re announcing with both pride and sadness that Barry will be disembarking from his final voyage with Dale Sailing on Tuesday next week.
Barry has been a much‑loved and hugely respected member of the team and a familiar face to so many of our customers and suppliers. His dedication, humour, and hard work have left a lasting mark on everyone who’s had the pleasure of working with him.

This Seaward motorboat with Nelson 45 designed hull and superstructure has just come to the end of a major refit here at Dale Sailing.
She’s been in our workshops for several months, with Carl and the team taking her right back to basics — from hull treatments and a full interior strip-out to brand-new electrical systems, a respray, and a beautiful new teak deck… the list goes on.
We’ll be sharing more from this project over the coming weeks, but we couldn’t wait to start near the finish line — capturing her journey out of the workshop and getting ready for launch.
And wow… she looked special.
