Your one-stop for the best Eastern European cuisine is at @_d_n_kitchen_ in Lethbridge, AB (and soon-to-be Calgary!). It's not only great for dinner, they have a breakfast menu that will blow you away (actually, it's got so many options). I had the pleasure of being invited to try out a variety of their items and I was astounded by the flavours, the portions, the textures, and so much more.
🍳Draniki Benedict - I LOVED this dish and it almost took away my appetite for everything else because I couldn't stop eating it. It's basically an eggs benedict, but instead of English Muffins underneath the egg, it's draniki!
🥟Ukrainian Platter - This is a great way to get all your food groups in one dish. The perogies, Kolbasa sausage, and cabbage rolls all stood out as superstars. My favorite was the cabbage rolls. They were a little bundle of beef, rice, and tons of flavor.
🐄Beef Chebureki - My top item! The dough was freshly fried and crisp, and the beef inside was juicy and delectable. This would be a great item to order "to go," as it's portable but hefty and filling!
🍴Pelmeni - These are like the dumplings of Russia (I hope that's okay to say)! The dough is thin and soft and it encases meat, and it looks like it's either boiled or steamed...long story short: try these! They are very filling though, so share them with someone!
