Managed to maintain some muscle and shape over the past 4 years since I last competed.
I’ve also definitely lost most and gained body fat but that is what it is 🙏🏻
A new goal has been set for this year and I’ll soon disclose it but it’s something that has given me a new direction and a concrete date to get in shape and be competitive 👀☝🏻

First session with Beth and this is exactly why posing isn’t just about hitting poses ☝🏻
Beth came into this session feeling overwhelmed after previous workshop feedback and had started overthinking everything❗️
By the end of the session we stripped things back, simplified the cues and suddenly things started clicking.
We cleaned up her front, side and rear poses, simplified her lat spread (no more shoulder gymnastics 😅), improved balance and highlighted the shape she already has.
One thing I said to her was this:
You already have a really strong bikini shape. The structure is there. We just need to present it properly.
And this is the case with most athletes. The presentation and display is crucial.
Sometimes it isn’t about changing your physique. It’s about learning how to showcase what’s already there.
Now we build confidence, keep refining and chip away week by week and build a polished and effortless presentation for this lovely lady💃🏻

Posing is a journey like anything else 💃🏻
You don’t just wake up and have flow or hit a pose with perfect execution.
It’s rep after rep after rep.
It’s being critical.
It’s knowing what suits your physique and what looks diabolical and you should never do again 😂
You have to understand your criteria and make sure you’re presenting yourself the way you NEED to.
It’s intertwining your personality and making it your own.
It truly is an art form 💃🏻

Truth is, even as a coach, I still have moments where I pick myself apart.
Yes, I’ve put weight on.
No, I’m not stage lean.
And honestly? Sometimes seeing yourself on camera is the biggest reality check there is.
But I also know this feeling isn’t just me. So many people avoid photos, videos, mirrors or even stepping into the gym because they don’t feel “good enough” yet.
The funny thing is… the people watching probably don’t even notice half the things we obsess over ourselves.
This isn’t a pity post. It’s accountability. A reminder to myself that I feel my best when I uphold the standards I set for myself physically and mentally.
And if you’ve ever watched yourself back and thought “oh god is that really me?”… welcome to the club 😂🤝
It’s time to focus on me again and feel confident in my own skin 💕💃🏻

One of the biggest mistakes I see in bikini posing…
Girls leaning WAY too far forward in the front and side pose (federation dependent) trying to create more glute projection and show off within their transition.
The problem is it usually does the opposite.
You lose balance through the feet, the upper body collapses, widening midsection and the glutes flatten off and the pose starts looking unstable.
A slight hinge is enough 🤗💃🏻 remember it’s just utilised as a transition.
As always: Proper Posing Prevents Poor Placing 💃🏻 🏆
