All welcome to the launch of our latest project 🚿 Shower Scene is a fashion film by Cold Wave that explores the zone between the waves and the carpark – a charged liminal space at a surf beach.
The film mixes visual cues from core-surf video clips, commercials and cinema. Shower Scene brings together charged masculine energy with significant references bookended from Point Break (1991) through to The Surfer (2024), with Heated Rivalry (2025) emerging in the zeitgeist following the wrap of filming this project in late 2025.

This tee got turbocharged on dystopian relevance. The ‘Gravel Beach’ long sleeve tee brings together textures of the Wellington south coast, including TOXIC STORM WATER. Still a few left on the Cold Wave store.
The best part was watching @ted.black get chased out of the shallows and run up the beach with camera in hand, flippers on feet, and sea-lion in tow. And of course her brief smoko break (🐟🍽️) inbetween flexing local status on us. Her smirk sums it up..
