Highlighting Coded by Kids 💻
An organization empowering youth with the skills to succeed in tech—through coding, innovation, and career development opportunities that open doors to the future.
Excited to have them at Shoot Hoops Not Guns!
Power up. Log on. Move forward.
Saturday, we put 1,600 laptops into the hands of Philadelphians, from young people to seniors.
This was never just about a device. It was about access. Jobs. Training. Opportunity.
This is what the work is about.
Grateful for Melissa A. Scott, our Chief Information Officer, and Willie Singletary, Senior Project Manager in the Mayor’s Office, who understood the assignment and made this day possible.
Thank you to @templeuniv , @oitphl , and our partners and sponsors, including @dell , @lenovo , @sap , @levelup_philly , @perscholas , Localhost Philly, @_codedby , @launchpadphilly , and so many others who showed up for our city.
#OnePhilly. Connected and ready.
Back in January, students at KIPP Philadelphia Preparatory Academy and KIPP West Philadelphia Preparatory Charter School stepped into the world of tech through a partnership with @_codedby , made possible through our KIPP Forward program. 💻
KIPP Forward supports students on their journey to and through college, career, and beyond by connecting them to real-world experiences and opportunities like this one.
Through hands-on workshops, students learned the fundamentals of coding with HTML and CSS and created their own landing pages to bring their ideas to life.
Early exposure to tech skills helps students begin to see themselves as creators and problem-solvers.
We’re proud to create opportunities that prepare our students not just for college, but for what comes next. 💙
Coded by was pure magic this week! The Timoteo kids jumped head first into HTML, CSS, and JavaScript and built their very own websites from scratch complete with business ideas, cool designs, and real code that actually works! This opened up a whole new world of opportunities! They had an absolute BLAST!

We are so excited about all of the different programs that Timoteo has been partnering with and exposing our Timoteo Kids to. With that being said, February 17th and 19th, Timoteo Sports will be partnering with Coded By Kids to create a FREE space for our kids to learn how to gain an edge with technology. Coded by is offering three different workshops designed to inspire the next generation of innovators and equip them with the tools to succeed in a tech-driven world. During these workshops, students will build games, create a startup pitch deck, and experiment with AI-powered applications.
