Inspiration: The Flaming June by Frederic Leighton
• This project was one of my first FIT fashion design projects.
• I remember wanting to use this painting as inspiration, because it takes me back to my school field trips to El Museo de Arte de Ponce in my hometown; The Flaming June’s home. Where I would admire every time I went. And, I remember it was one of the first paintings in their exhibit.
• For me, It gave me a sense of home. Now that I had moved to New York I wanted to use inspiration from my childhood back home.
