Waking up to this nomination this morning felt incredibly meaningful. š„¹
Iām so honoured to be nominated for the Mentorship Award @womenempowermentawards . Mentorship has played such an important role in my own journey, through the people who encouraged me to think bigger, trust my creativity, and take up space before I fully knew how to myself.
Because of that, pouring back into others has become such a meaningful part of my work and purpose. This year especially, Iāve dedicated so much time to supporting mentees, facilitating speed mentoring sessions with @scadding_court@culturelinkto@ocaducead , hosting mentor coffee chats with thriving students, guiding branding and marketing conversations with B3 @torontohousing , and working alongside founders through strategy sessions with @boundless_accelerator clients over the years.
To me, mentorship is all about creating spaces where people feel seen, empowered, celebrated, and supported in bringing their vision to life. š
Really grateful for this recognition from @rogers and for every conversation, collaboration, and person who has trusted me along the way. āØ

It's incredibly humbling and nostalgic to get the opportunity to speak to a room full of student entrepreneurs.
Bright. Ambitious. Early yet eager in their journey.
And I told them something I wish someone had told me:
Your story and age is not a liability. ā”Itās yours. It's leverage.
When I applied for my first job, I was navigating grief.
⨠I could have hidden it.
⨠Kept it āprofessional.ā
⨠Played it safe.
Instead, I owned my story. š
I shared what it shaped in me:
Resilience.
Perspective.
Drive.
Depth.
Out of 500 applicants, I was the 1 designer hired! š±
Not because I had the most polished resume.
But because I had clarity in who I was and being honest and willing to learn along the way. We underestimate how powerful authenticity becomes when itās paired with competence.
To every new founder, student, changemaker: š«¶āØ Your lived experience is not separate from your professional path. It is the foundation of it. Build from there!

This one's for any marketer who's ever wondered why their website isn't converting. š
Your website should be working as hard as you do! And if it's not turning visitors into leads, something's off.
Award-winning designer & CL Designs founder Christine Lieu-Guzauskas is breaking down the branding fundamentals, the 3 essential sections every converting website needs, and the quick fixes that improve clarity, trust, and user flow.
Next week in the SNMA!
Welcome to the "me, me, me" show!
š Cue the cringe, I know...
Most people think personal branding is about showing up more. Posting more. Being everywhere. But what actually makes a brand work⦠is being understood. Itās clarity. Itās intention. Itās knowing what you stand for before you try to scale visibility.
I recently shared this perspective in a feature with THE @girlboss community! I got to contribute to their latest newsletter on building a personal brand, and it speaks to something I see so often: People arenāt struggling with visibility. Theyāre struggling with clarity. And clarity is what creates connection and confidence.
If youāre building your brand right now, this is worth the read. š£

Imagine this: š
Youāre heading into summerā¦
and your website is clear and converting.
Your visuals feel aligned.
Your messaging actually makes sense.
No scrambling.
No āweāll fix it later.ā
No stress sitting in the back of your mind while youāre trying to rest.
Especially for nonprofits, where your work already carries so much weight. Your brand shouldnāt be another thing draining you.
It should support you.
Carry your message clearly.
Help the right people say yes, without extra effort.
Thatās exactly what we take care of in a VIP Design Day. āļø So you can step away, recharge, and trust that everything is working the way it should.
Summer VIP Design Days are now open!

Growing up as a child of immigrants, I didnāt always see my culture reflected in the creative industry.
So for a long time, I thought I had to translate myself to belong.
But the deeper Iāve moved into design, the more I realize⦠my lens was never something to dilute. It was something to design from.
It shows up in everything I do!
- The way I notice detail others might overlook.
- The intention behind colour, not just what looks āgood,ā but what means something (hence why I adoooore wearing red all the time!).
- The balance between simplicity and depth, so a brand never feels hollow or performative.
And that matters more than ever, especially for brands and personal brands right now.
Because what actually cuts through isnāt just aesthetics anymore. Itās resonance.
Itās the ability for someone to look at your brand and feel: ⨠"I get this person. I trust this. This means something.ā āØ
That kind of clarity doesnāt come from trends. It comes from perspective. From lived experience. From how you see the world before you ever design a logo or write a caption.
Going to China recently brought that full circle for me.
It reminded me that inspiration isnāt something you chase in feeds or frameworks.
Itās something you return to.
Something youāre rooted in.
Something that quietly shapes how you interpret everything around you.
This month, Iām celebrating that more intentionally with #AsianHeritageMonth. Not as a story in the background, but as the foundation of how I build brands.
Because when personal brands and purpose-driven businesses are built from that level of depth, they donāt just look good.
They connect. They last. They mean something. š
And thatās the kind of work I want to keep putting into the world.

I worked with Altitude Accelerator, a not-for-profit innovation hub supporting startups and scale-ups across Southern Ontario. They sit at the centre of a fast-moving ecosystem helping tech companies grow, connect with angel investors, and scale faster.
Behind the scenes, they were:
ā Running multiple programs
ā Supporting founders + investorsĀ + partners
ā Building momentum in emerging sectors
But externally?
Over time, their work expanded significantly, including a name change in one business area and years of growth without a formal impact report to capture that evolution.
The opportunity?
Take their Annual Report and turn it into something people would actually engage with, not just scroll past. Because letās be honest⦠most reports get skimmed (if that). We rebuilt their Annual Report from the ground up, starting with clarity matched by powerful design.
Before touching design, we zoomed out strategically together.
⨠Whatās the story weāre actually telling here?
⨠What do people need to understand in seconds?
⨠What deserves to stand out vs. whatās just noise?
From there, we:
ā Streamlined the narrative for clear flow
ā Designed for real human behaviour
ā Built a visual system that made their impact feel tangible and engaging
When organizations are moving fast, keeping up with communication's impact can be difficult. And when that happens, itās not the work that gets lost. Itās the clarity of how far things have actually come (and sharing that with your community)!
And one of the most meaningful pieces of feedback:
It didnāt fully click until it all came together. The story's streamlined design made everything feel real.
Thatās the gap I help close: ā¶ļø turning your behind-the-scenes program updates, stats, founder stories into clear, compelling narratives that match the level of work already being done. Because if your organization is evolving quickly, your story should be evolving with it.

Iāve dreamed about this trip for years! š„¹
But I didnāt realize how much I needed it until I was actually in it.
Two weeks in China with my parents:
fully unplugged from work, fully plugged into real life.
No rushing.
No notifications.
No pressure to be āon.ā
Just presence. Stories. Moments I know Iāll carry forever.
And hereās what surprised me most: Nothing fell apart while I was gone. My business didnāt burn down. Opportunities didnāt disappear. Everything Iāve build held up.
Because over the last 7 years in business, Iāve been intentional about creating a brand and systems that donāt rely on me being constantly available to work.
Thatās the part people don't discuss enough. ⨠Everyone wants freedom. But not everyone builds for it.
It reminded me why I care so much about the work I do with my clients. Because a strong, clear, aligned brand is not just about looking good or converting better. Itās about supporting YOU!
So when you step away: for a trip, a break, or just a slower season. Your business can still carry its weight.
Thatās exactly what we build in your VIP Design Days. Not just something beautiful to remember. Something that works with you, not against you.
This trip was a reset.
But also a reminder: š The goal isnāt to love your business less so you can rest. Itās to build it in a way that still allows you to live fully outside of it.
