Will Hunting - Genio ribelle 🎥 Gus Van Sant (1997) Voto - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🇮🇹 Il buon e immenso Robin Williams qui ha davvero interpretato un ruolo diverso dal solito comico in maniera superba con dei dialoghi che davvero mettono i brividi per l'intensità e per i temi (alcune linee durante gli incontri con Will sono anche improvvisate dallo stesso) ha strameritato il premio Oscar come miglior attore non protagonista e ha reso questo ruolo uno dei migliori e più potenti della sua carriera; adoro gli immensi Matt Damon, Ben Affleck (anche loro premiati con l'Oscar per la miglior sceneggiatura originale), Minnie Driver, Casey Affleck e Stellan Skarsgård tutti straordinari e la regia di Gus Van Sant è immensa e brillante. Le sedute psicologiche con il dottor Sean Maguire (Williams) e Will (Damon) sono davvero molto emozionanti, riflessive e toccanti e si vede come i due crescano insieme con l'andare avanti degli incontri. He absolutely deserved the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor and made this role one of the best and most powerful of his career. I adore the outstanding Matt Damon and Ben Affleck (also awarded the Oscar for Best Original Screenplay), Minnie Driver, Casey Affleck, and Stellan Skarsgård—everyone is extraordinary. Gus Van Sant’s direction is immense and brilliant. The therapy sessions between Dr. Sean Maguire (Williams) and Will (Damon) are truly moving, reflective, and touching, and you can see how the two grow together as the meetings progress. Pirati dei Caraibi - Ai confini del mondo 🎥 Gore Verbinski (2007) Voto ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🇮🇹 Qui siamo all'apice della perfezione, il mio film preferito, stupendo, magnifico, emozionante, romantico, epico, divertente; 2h e 48 min di godimento assoluto e di emozioni, la scena del maelstrom e della battaglia finale è talmente epica, ben scritta e con una cgi di altissima qualità che credo sia una delle migliori scene di battaglie del cinema; potrei doppiarli tutti a memoria ahahha conosco tutte le battute ormai, ma ogni volta sembra di vederlo con occhi nuovi come se fosse la prima. La colonna sonora di Hans Zimmer qui tocca i limiti dell'assurdo con temi iconici, perfetti, pomposi e che riecheggiano maestosi; la scena dell'incoraggiamento da parte di Elizabeth con "su le bandiereee" è di una potenza indescrivibile e poi anche quando si addentrano tra i ghiacci per raggiungere i confini del mondo è pura magia, una degna conclusione alla trilogia!... The maelstrom and final battle scene are so epic, so well written, and with such high-quality CGI that I think it’s one of the best battle scenes in all of cinema. I could dub all the characters by heart, haha — I know every line by now, but every time I watch it, it feels brand new, as if it were the first time. Hans Zimmer’s soundtrack here pushes the limits of the absurd — iconic, perfect, grand themes that echo majestically. The scene where Elizabeth gives her speech with “Hoist the colors!” is indescribably powerful, and when they venture through the ice to reach the world’s end, it’s pure magic — a worthy conclusion to the trilogy! Il Gladiatore II 🎥 Ridley Scott (2024) Voto - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🇮🇹 Certamente non è ai livelli del primo, capolavoro assoluto, ma sono rimasto affascinato da questo sequel nuovamente diretto da Ridley Scott. La trama a me è piaciuta e ho adorato l'estetica del film, i costumi favolosi e il cast fenomenale composto dal protagonista Paul Mescal, Pedro Pascal (grandissimo), Denzel Washington (iconico), Derek Jacobi, Connie Nielsen e dagli spietati, fuori di testa ed esteticamente perfetti imperatori Geta e Caracalla alias Joseph Quinn e Fred Hechinger. C'è l'epicità, ci sono i duelli, ci sono gli scontri, c'è Roma e c'è il filo conduttore con il primo film dunque per me è un ottimo sequel... I really liked the plot, and I absolutely adored the film’s aesthetics, the fabulous costumes, and the phenomenal cast featuring Paul Mescal, Pedro Pascal (outstanding), Denzel Washington (iconic), Derek Jacobi, Connie Nielsen, and the ruthless, insane, and aesthetically perfect emperors Geta and Caracalla, played by Joseph Quinn and Fred Hechinger. It has the epic scale, the duels, the battles, Rome itself, and the connection to the first film, so for me it’s a great sequel. And the soundtrack is perfect too, because this time Zimmer’s protégé Harry Gregson-Williams took the helm, blending some melodies from the previous film with original compositions, paying tribute to what came before while glorifying the new events. La persona peggiore del mondo 🎥 Joaquim Trier (2022) Voto - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🇮🇹 Diretto da Joachim Trier, è un ritratto generazionale sulla paura di scegliere e l'ansia da prestazione esistenziale che colpisce i trentenni di oggi e non solo; La protagonista Julie incarna la perenne indecisione: non riesce a stabilizzarsi in una carriera, cambia continuamente idea sul proprio futuro e sabota le sue relazioni non appena diventano troppo concrete, tutto questo porta la protagonista interpretata da una stratosferica Renate Reinsve a sentirsi la "persona peggiore del mondo" perché ferisce le persone che la amano solo per l'incapacità di capire cosa vuole dalla vita. Just like Sentimental Value, this too is a masterpiece of emotions that suffocate the viewer and leave them stunned in a whirlwind of feelings. Finché morte non ci separi 2 🎥 Matt Bettinelli-Olpin, Tyler Gillett (2026) Voto - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🇮🇹 Ottimo sequel, in linea con il primo che tanto avevo apprezzato, molto splatter e tanto soddisfacente sul finale; Samara Weaving sempre grandissima è affiancata questa volta da Kathryn Newton, Sarah Michelle Gellar ed Elijah Wood. Si aggancia benissimo al primo capitolo, con uno sviluppo di trama molto buono e un finale che definirei perfetto; un gran bel sequel horror che mi incuriosiva tanto e attendevo con ansia, devo dire che ha soddisfatto a pieno le mie aspettative immergendomi di nuovo nel tossico gioco che avevamo scoperto nel primo capitolo. Il ladro di orchidee 🎥 Spike Jonze (2002) Voto - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️½ 🇮🇹 Un capolavoro di meta-cinema diretto da Spike Jonze e scritto da Charlie Kaufman. Il film non segue una struttura narrativa classica, ma mette in scena il collasso creativo dello stesso sceneggiatore (Cage) mentre tenta disperatamente di adattare per il cinema il saggio "Il ladro di orchidee" di Susan Orlean (Streep). È un film che si rivela per quel che è solo dalla metà in poi, dove la trama diventa più chiara e si rivela la genialità agli occhi dello spettatore; Nicolas Cage, Meryl Streep, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Brian Cox, Judy Greere tutti bravissimi... Cage e la Streep davvero perfetti come perfetta e l'evoluzione dei loro personaggi fino al turbolento finale. "Adaptation" il titolo originale è la parola chiave della pellicola, con esso si può spiegare ed analizzare tutto il film... Nicolas Cage, Meryl Streep, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Brian Cox, and Judy Greer are all outstanding… Cage and Streep are truly perfect, as is the evolution of their characters leading up to the turbulent finale. Adaptation. — the original title — is the key word of the movie: through it, one can explain and analyze the entire film. Hugh Jackman è sempre molto bravo (anche nelle vesti di pastore) e in questa nuova avventura è affiancato da Emma Thompson, Nicholas Galitzine, Molly Gordon, Conleth Hill e le voci di Patrick Stewart, Regina Hall, Bella Ramsey, Julia Louis-Dreyfus e Bryan Cranston che doppiano le fantastiche pecore del gregge; un giallo in versione campagnola che porta una ventata di aria fresca nel cinema contemporaneo, con una cgi carina e non disturbante oltretutto...
