I normally LOVE Spotify Wrapped as an early Christmas gift but if this is the trend, I’ll take fruitcake next year bro.
The other day, I took a few seconds to capture the light on the water (as best you can with the sun in your eyes). And I waited to share the photos.
Some moments you want to keep for yourself, even for a little while.
But this morning, this Thanksgiving morning, I woke up thinking about my grandmother. The one who made the best pies, the one who tried her best to spoil you without spoiling you, the one whose love language was family and friends and food.
And as I’m typing this, I realize she could be so many of our grandmothers.
I’m thankful to have been able to share so much time with her, and to feel the love through the memories I carry.
I’m grateful for her, and for those who are not physically with us, but who’s light is always on - showing up in filtered light playing with the water or in their bits of light they were so kind to share with our hearts while they were here.
