Their latest EP PROBRONO dives into realms of death, dystopian gore-core, breaking through disillusionment, and political disarray. Their newest EP features Gnar, whose punk informed noise-hop creates an explosive counterpart to TUGBOYZ. The debut @slugfeast_ LP came out today and I am extremely proud to have been involved with this record. This record started out as a single (once was fine) that we knocked out in a day because they came in so well rehearsed and prepared. A month or two later the slugs came back for two more (detective and heavy heart) and decided it would be a three song EP; needless to say the session went similarly amazing due to how locked in they are. A couple months later they hit me up and said fuck it we’re doing a full length. I was fuckin hyped. First single to final 11 mixes, we spent slightly less than a year working on this, doing one or two songs at a time and spacing sessions out by a couple months. They never showed up less than super prepared, and they never took any shortcuts. Three piece instrumentals all live-to-click, adding second guitar, solos, and vocals/harmonies after. Tracked each song or pair of songs to completion before even thinking about next songs or sessions. The slugs and I worked really hard on this and I am super excited it’s out for everyone to hear. Been awhile since I’ve posted and there’s been some really proud moments in the last year or so, and a bunch more coming up, so I figured it’s time to make a hard-post. Slide 1: it’s ur boi 😎 Slide 2: @slugfeast_ - Once Was Fine Recorded in May 2024 and released Dec 1, this was among the first recordings I’d done in awhile but specifically it was the first mixing I’d done for a band in a long time and I’m really proud of how it came out. This release really got the ball rolling for me on recording more bands and it’s been avalanching ever since. Slugfeast has done a bunch more songs with me and recently finished a full length that we are all super proud of (which is honestly what prompted this post). The next single drops 7/29 and the amazing record they’re sitting on drops later this year - do not miss it. I will def have more to say as the single and record come out. Slide 3: @whine.unofficial - Guns on Television This record was really fun and exciting to make. I was super honored when Whine asked me to record them and they fully fuckin murdered it. Recorded the weekend of 12/4/24, and released 2/17/25, they tracked 14 tracks of pure shred in 3 nights and it was insane to watch. They recorded all the songs live w/ no click the first night, added second guitar the next night, and did interludes and a really fun full listen-through the third night. We’ve done another little batch since so watch tf out when they drop those 😮‍💨. Slide 4: @slinger_band - My Neighbor’s Yard Tracked and mixed this in the same night after postponing due to a gnarly concussion and still recovering from it as we worked and it was released a week or less later on March 20th. These guys are young and really talented and it’s exciting to watch them do their thing. It’s also been a fun challenge to mix a genre I haven’t mixed much before. We’ve done 4 more songs since, as well as remixed this one, and I can’t wait for it all to drop. These guys are putting in the work for sure. Last two slide descriptions continued in the comments
