Story created by me for @type7 !
Few things are as worth waking up for at 6am on a Sunday morning than Southside Hustle; started by the late, great Charles Evans (@DouzeCoupes ) - and now continuing in his honour - @SouthSideHustle.CarMeet brings together an impressive mix of cars to an ordinarily tranquil parkside Wimbledon street.
As the early morning mist dissipates, cars roll in and the event is in a constant state of flux - becoming a carousel of classics and supercars, regulars and new comers alike.
Southside Hustle feels like an organic congregation, a last-bastion of non-concours car culture in a city with a prickly relationship with all things automotive. It’s an event with growing popularity, and is becoming a well-known staple in the London car scene.

Hampton Court Concours is my favourite of the big-ticket, fancy UK car shows.
Arrive early or stay late; in prime-time midday it’s hard to see the wood for the tweeds.
