When I was saying that mermaid cakes are having their moment this month...
Our little girl turned 5 and requested a mermaid birthday cake for her party. And I absolutely loved it.
(I was in the middle of our eldests birthday party when I realised I hadn't yet taken photos of this cake! Which I am kicking myself over because I spent days (in between painting our house, looking after two kids, running a business, extra curricular activities and life in general) prepping each individual shell to decorate this cake with. There was so much love and attention that went into it. Then to forget to photograph it 🙄 Never-the-less, all beautiful guests waited for a moment, unknowingly, while I got a few snaps because it absolutely needed to be documented.)
