In Toward the Distant Home, Mohammed unveils a new body of work that weaves memory, experience and imagination into visual narratives that examine
the foundations of how selfhood is formed.
Working actively with community through a lens of semi-abstraction, Mohammed offers an introspective meditation on the unseen forces that silently sculpt who we become.

Curatorial debut ✨
I’m beyond pleased to present "In Relation To Light", a solo exhibition featuring the work of Ghanaian artist Michael Badger. You are invited to a captivating presentation at The Mix Design Hub on Friday, 26th of May, 6pm.
The exhibition explores what constitutes true self-expression with a series of surrealist, figurative paintings depicting varying human emotions on a journey towards self discovery. Badger brings these figurative subjects into light in an exploration of what it means to stand in the light.
Exhibition runs through Monday, 26th June 2023.

Towards The Distant Home - Still on View.
Mohammed’s technique, a meticulous process that begins with
photography and spans the layering of silkscreen prints of the
photographs, acrylic, pastel and collage, is where his artistic voice is sharpest. His process and composition keenly weave memory, experience and imagination into vivid snapshots of a world where childhood is at the center stage and where imagination is at its purest. Embedded in this process is a trained level of care and attention that drives his vision. - Mahmoud Brimah
