What happens with the heart and energy (cells) when intensity is the only option? While heart rate increases, fill time decreases, the cells adapt to +anaerobic and -aerobic energy. The nervous system adapts to this as it is bidirectional. Easy becomes a death sentence bc we lack the functionality in the system. #physiology #behavior #nervoussystem #exercise #health @naffelenikita @_hoppe_chris

The belief that effort has to hurt keeps some people pushing too hard. For others it shows up differently, as the belief that the conditions have to be perfect before they’ll begin. Both are the nervous system finding a reason to avoid the work. One through intensity. One through preparation. Same mechanism. Opposite expression. • • • @_brianmackenzie @naffelenikita @_hoppe_chris #nervoussystem #recalibration #behaviour #physiology #masterpfself

The reason awareness doesn’t automatically rewire the nervous system is there are two competing conscious levels— the conscious or aware, and the subconscious or unaware (deeper). You can know exactly why easy feels wrong and still feel it. That gap between knowing and doing — that’s not a failure of understanding. That’s where the actual work lives. The Echo keeps showing up for it and practicing in real time. • • • @_brianmackenzie @naffelenikita @_hoppe_chris #behaviour #pattern #nervoussystem #physiology #masteryofself

If stillness feels unbearable — that’s not a personality trait. That’s a nervous system that has been running so hot for so long that calm registers as a threat. The Rook didn’t need more to do. They needed to learn what it felt like to finally stop. That distinction changed everything. • • • @_brianmackenzie @naffelenikita @_hoppe_chris #nervoussystemhealth #overstimulation #physiology #behaviour #masteryofself

Rejecting the mainstream IS a personality. Rejection recovery is a physiological problem dressed up as one. Of the easy work feels like selling out - your nervous system is the running the story, not YOU. That’s not sovereignty. That’s survival. • • • @_brianmackenzie @naffelenikita @_hoppe_chris #sovereignty #survival #nervoussystemsupport #physiology #masteryofself

The nervous system protects the instructions it’s given with extreme prejudice through structure, physiology, energy, and behavior. Anything outside those instructions will be treated like a threat until it is given other instructions. #physiology #behavior #movement #strength #nervoussystem @naffelenikita @_hoppe_chris

Your nervous system learned what work is supposed to feel like. For some people IT learned that intensity is the only proof of effort. For others it learned that intensity is a threat. Both are calibration problems. Both are trainable. The goal isn’t to go harder or softer. It’s to let your nervous system learn what’s actually true. • • • @_brianmackenzie @naffelenikita @_hoppe_chris #nervoussystemhealth #physiology #avoidance #behaviour #masteryofself

Your nervous system learned what work is supposed to feel like. The problem is it learned from years of going too hard. If easy always feels wrong — that’s not a discipline problem. That’s a calibration problem. And it’s trainable. • • • @_brianmackenzie @naffelenikita @_hoppe_chris #calibration #nervoussystemregulation #physiology #behaviour masteryofself

Self-report: clean. Physical testing, different story. Look more carefully. Can you see the disconnect? When the signal disappears, capacity follows. Our assessment doesn’t ask how you feel. It measures what’s actually happening. You report X (perception), Assessment shows Y (reality). • • • @_brianmackenzie @naffelenikita @_hoppe_chris #perception #reality #disconnect #physiology #masteryofself

We’ve all been there. We think that nothing has changed in the output. And yet, by the middle of the week, something feels off. Why does the same effort now feel like a different system response? If you choose to push harder it’s the same move, over and over. Instead of correcting the problem, you are now perpetuating the problem and the system that reinforces it. What feels like discipline is often just a system trying to regulate itself. • • • @_brianmackenzie @naffelenikita @_hoppe_chris #adrenaline #glycoliticsystem #energy #recoverharder #masteryofself

If a limitation isn’t given time to absorb, adapt, or resolve, the threat remains buried, while the brain sets a new normal. #physiology #masteryofself #behavior #movement #health @naffelenikita @_hoppe_chris

When your nervous system is already running hot, there’s less runway before « moderate » becomes « hard. » MUCH LESS. Monday’s session isn’t soft. They aren’t undertrained. Their baseline is so high that the same work hits a completely different physiological reality. Tracking training load with training response is learning how the system is responding. Simply tracking training load teaches a consistent pattern without the lesson. • • • @_brianmackenzie @naffelenikita @_hoppe_chris #adjust #regulate #adaptation #adaptability #masteryofself
