‘That’s not going anywhere’ from @picassos.delivery + @privateaffairmva ‘s wallmates a few months back. Easily the funnest work i’ve ever made - Was an absolute joy working with Ben and Jesse on this. Special mention to @colessupermarkets @woolworths_au @aldiaustralia and @bigwaustralia for being slack about collecting their trolleys and to my dear friends pickles + nomad for the helping hands. 📸 @simonjstrong 📹 @amber.macklin ♥️🛒♥️

In 1966 Milton Bradley brought out Twister - the first board game where people were the pieces. The aim was simple, spin the wheel and place a hand or leg on the corresponding colour until one player falls - thus revealing the winner. In ‘Who chairs wins’ there are no people. Only chairs. Firmly tangled to a board where no one falls. A huge thank you to Lilly Skipper (@sumwhereonlyweno ) and Fin at @no.offence.gallery for turning their lovely home into a bright space for art this past summer - 🌺 x

‘Princess Di, the Sky and a Reptile Eye’ from Flowers By Irene last year @greenfloorgallery with @rileyambeaumont . ~~~~~~ [Flowers By Irene, an exhibition by Riley Beaumont and James Brett] brings together processes of abstraction and the ever-fertile world of conspiracy theories. In a time increasingly shaped by the rapid spread of misinformation and disinformation, we are confronted with new realities where truth itself becomes a commodity manipulated by forces both visible and unseen. The line between fact and fiction is blurred by the algorithms that govern our digital lives, by the media narratives designed to stir division, and by the deliberate disinformation campaigns that permeate social and political spheres. Today, the concept of ‘truth’ is no longer a universal constant but a construct that shifts according to the interests of those who control the flow of information. Nature, once a direct and unmediated experience for humankind, has now become subject to the same forces of distortion. In the same way that consumer culture has redefined our aesthetic ideals, so too has the digital landscape reshaped our perception of reality, leaving us to question what is real and what is fabricated or manipulated for ulterior motives. The creation of truth is no longer the domain of scientists, journalists, or philosophers alone—it is crafted by a multitude of actors: internet trolls, political operatives, social media influencers, and shady organizations. These forces work together to weave a complex web of narratives that challenge the very idea of an objective reality. In Flowers By Irene, Beaumont and Brett reflect on how contemporary art engages with this disorienting new world, questioning whether the ‘truth’ of reality can still be found beneath the layers of distortion and manipulation, or whether, in this post-truth age, the concept of truth itself is in danger of becoming a relic. Is reality simply a product of the narratives we are fed, or does it exist somewhere beyond the veil of manufactured stories? 📸 @simonjstrong

‘Worlds greatest trophy’ from ~joke taxonomy~ last June. ___ When Jesse first asked me to be in the show i’d just finished the install for Eternal Maintenance and was mentally and physically s p e n t. I’d voweled to my partner id take a little break from exhibiting as I was dipping into burnout. I asked Jesse who else was in the show and at that point he’d only confirmed Simon Zoric, which was more than enough for me to push my burnout blues aside and get excited. I re-thought my practice a little and was able to figure out a method where I could still actuate my ideas without breaking myself in the process. Needless to say when I found out who else I was showing with I was pretty darn stoked I’d made the decision. Thanks a mil to @jesse_deng48 for curating such a sick show and thanks to @138gallery for having us ⭐️ 🏆 ⭐️
