I am excited to be part of *PAY ATTENTION!* at Vienna Contemporary Art Space. Pay Attention! is part of a three-part exhibition series at VCAS and explores the aesthetics of the attention economy. At the center of the exhibition is the question of how platforms and technologies shape our attention and thereby influence perception, media culture, and everyday life. The works on view open up new perspectives, invite conscious ways of looking, and make it possible to experience how art can create spaces of empowerment in the age of distraction. Roko's Basilisk v2. Disciples. With @_baxtr_ @brynfrederickson and @gimballl_ All new cast this time around! A truckload of series cooking but happy to be accompanied by these great artists for this first series after the break. Truth be told i had been eyeing @_baxtr_ 's work for a minute and shot him a first message quite a while ago. So when he got back with an available piece i had to run it as a theme. Love his calligraphy/graffiti works and it felt like a good fit with some parts of @gimballl_ 's works, an Indonesian graffiti group from eastern Java. On top we had several concepts in limbo with @brynfrederickson most of which veered into more abstracted themes, but one part lended itself well for this series. Brynski's work is super eclectic and expressive, varying from both abstract themes to collages and sketchworks, in any case i dig his works bigly and there's probably more to come in a future series on that front.
