Virtual Insanity, the third track off A Pocket in Time, was written in 2018. At the time, it was the strongest thing I’d composed (until Miasma 😂).
This song says what I couldn’t admit back then. I was coming out of a six-year relationship that was primarily online. Even though we met in person, it was overshadowed by the time spent behind a screen. I felt trapped in that digital disconnect.
That environment became a vacuum for toxicity, and I wasn’t being honest with myself about how much it was draining me. The easier thing to do was think about the ~spicy sleep~ but despite battling self-harm, I’ve always been a hopeful individual.
I knew i couldn’t let this end me.
So… This song is an ode to that era. The guitar solo has been revamped since and I felt it was finally ready. Just as I’m ready for the next chapter.

Many bands promise that 2000s energy, but we actually grew up on it.
This is our song "A Pocket In Time." It’s definitely on the more melancholic, atmospheric side of what we do, but we’ve got some absolute heavy hitters on the way.
We’re Awkward Convos, and we’re just trying to bring that 90s art rock soul into 2026.
