Just a little backstory to my life. I grew up bodyboarding the Mill from the early ’90s—starting as a grom and riding it through my teenage years. My dad lived in Lahaina for about 20yrs my sister, my brother them born and raised Lahaina ,Lahaina and Honokōwai were truly my second home 💯
Mostly every weekends my dad would wake us up around 4 a.m. With his friends, we’d start getting the opihi bags ready—opihi knives in hand, old-school green rice mesh bags slung over our shoulders. We’d pound that entire shoreline, all the way to almost Hobbit Land most times, and come back home with two bags full of yellow bellows at times So many memories from those days. Tha trail that everyone takes was the go to spot to get down to the shoreline we called that the “OPIHI TRAIL” in my time 🙏🏽
Back in the ’90s, the Windmill rights were something special—honestly better than the lefts. As the years passed, things changed, and the rights don’t even break like they used to. But the sickest days were in high school, surfing the Mill solid 6–8 feet, pulling into some truly mental rights. Watching the reef suck dry beneath you, seeing how shallow and crystal clear it was back then—that feeling is unforgettable.
I miss those days. Pulling up and seeing the RIGHTS absolutely firing. Pure nostalgia. The Windmills hold some of my best memories—and nah, it ain’t no secret spot, I ain’t gate keeping shit bruh 😂

I don’t speak about much what’s going on in my personal life to just anyone, but the close people in my hectic life know I’ve been battling a work injury since 2017 and a lot has happened since then and a lot has changed some life changing experiences 💯🙏🏽
There were days I didn’t tell anyone how close I was to breaking.
Nights I sat alone, replaying denials, paperwork, pain, and fear—
asking God why this road had to be so long and so quiet.
I’ve fought battles most people never see🙏🏽
Battles with evil insurance companies😈
Battles with my own body😣
Battles with doubt, exhaustion, and the heavy silence that comes when you’re doing this alone 😢
There were moments I questioned my worth.
Moments I wondered if giving up would be easier.
Moments when the darkness felt louder than my prayers.
But even in the loneliest hours, God was working on me 😭
not always removing the struggle,
but strengthening me inside it💯
I learned that faith isn’t loud🙏🏽
It’s showing up when you’re tired.
It’s filling out one more form when your hands are shaking.
It’s trusting that God sees what the system ignores.
I didn’t win by force💯.
I won by endurance.
By obedience.
By refusing to quit when quitting felt justified.
This journey humbled me.
Stripped me.
Taught me patience I never asked for.
I’m still here—not because the fight was easy,
but because God carried me through the days I couldn’t carry myself😢😭💯🙏🏽
The victory may not look finished yet.
But I know this:
If I survived the darkest days,
the light is already on its way 😇
“By God’s grace, I stood firm against the evil and corrupt insurance company, and that victory now places me in a stronger position as I move toward my workers’ comp trial in 2026 !
But Yesterday i received my denial paper work from the labor board and I read through it and by the grace of god I got “APPROVED” for a treatment plan that helps me with my ongoing injury and With these plan it puts me in a strong advantage coming into my work Comp settlement in 2026 💯💪🏽🙏🏽
