Horsetail Falls in Alpine, Utah, on two separate hikes I took in July and November.
#xiuxiu @xiuxiuforlife I hope you see this and enjoy it. Thank you for a wonderful show back in October in Salt Lake City. Hearing this song live was special. I can’t wait for the next time I get to see you all on tour.
Editing this had me thinking about where I was in July and November and where I am today. 137 days passed between the two hikes, and coincidentally, today it’s been 138 since the November hike. A lot can change in 275 days!
This video came to be because I love this song and thought it would be cool to pair it with cascading water in closeup and slow motion. I enjoy the contrast. The music ends abruptly because of Instagram’s 90 second limit on songs (but you should still watch to the end).
Anyway, Xiu Xiu for life!!!
Today one of those driveways made only for Jeep Wranglers tore the skid guard underneath my Honda Civic halfway off, so I had to leave my car at the dealership to get it fixed this afternoon. They told me they’d have it ready in the morning, so I took the bus home. As I walked from the bus stop, I liked how these water droplets looked as they burst against the sidewalk, backlit by the setting sun. I was listening to this song through my headphones when I walked past. I recorded these videos of the display, and then my phone died.
