We are excited to introduce Archit Karkare, one of the exhibiting artists in 'The Eclectika Invitational 2024'!
Archit Karkare was born and raised in India and is based in DFW, Texas, USA. He got his BFA in Sculpture from the University of North Texas in 2023. Archit’s work is motivated by materiality, societal behaviors, and A.I. generated imagery to create sculptures that often integrate multiple mediums. In his practice, Archit utilizes technology such as 3D modeling software and CNC machines to assist in constructing his sculptures. Smaller experiments also drive his process to understand how various materials react to each other. He has shown works in galleries such as Greater Denton Arts Council, Arts Fort Worth, Eclectika 711 and Rockport Center for the Arts. He also has a permanent public Installation at UNT at Frisco Campus.
The opening reception for the Eclectika Invitational is Saturday, September 21, from 7-10pm.
