Some stop-motion-style videos of sketches I made for the European Architecture Prize. 1 shows the sinking of the building after draining the mine tunnels underneath it. 2 shows the effect of this landscape process on a larger scale, and the connection that is re-established between the three mines in Genk.

As a novice architect who is still discovering the profession, you want nothing more than to help design architecture that fully reflects you and your vision on spatiality. You want to contribute ideas about architecture that you believe will make a difference in the built environment. My first steps as an intern at @archipl_architecten have been nothing short of inspiring, working on projects that breathe care into architecture, and architecture into care. Grateful to grow where purpose meets design, and looking forward to what is coming.

My own first exhibition :) Thanks to @hbvl.be@josherck en @tongeren_borgloon I got the opportunity to show my graduation project, Machine à Guérir, and the research around it to a wider audience. The exhibition will open on Sunday 5 October at Borgloon Monastery, and it will run until 2 November.

A full dose of ‘Machine à Guérir’: my master’s thesis is a candidate for the Flemish Thesis Prize 2025!
Beneath the ground lies the future: can architecture heal people and places? That question started my master’s thesis “Machine à Guérir - Laboratories of Transition: a healing architecture for a sagging landscape in recovery”. A few weeks ago, my work was included in the Flemish Thesis Database, and thus in the running for the Flemish Thesis Prize 2025.
