Mní Sota Mystery Box was a grand old time. One of the best shows I have been a part of, and it felt so healing being part of one of the only indigenous performance showcases in the drag and burlesque scenes in the cities this year. I got to bring a number very close to my heart to an audience of some of my dearest friends and my people. I also remembered I can move in dramatic ways.
people tend to mistake fire as being an element solely of destruction, but in the Aftermath, life returns with a lushness that speaks to resilience. remember the lessons of fire.

this thanksgiving, I am grateful for my communities showing up for Treaty Keepers. together, we were able to raise $3844 for Little Earth. food is a right, and starvation has long been one of the us government's favourite weapons. but when the poor have nothing to eat, they shall eat the rich.
times are fucking scary, but we take care of each other. seeing such a diverse audience and cast come together to donate their time to a cause so close to my heart was overwhelming on so many levels. special thank you to @pfundfoundation for sponsoring our event, helping out the performers, and donating to our silent auction.
sure, treaties have been broken over and over in history. however, they are all of our responsibility to honour and leave a world our children will be proud to inherit.

This Native American Heritage Month, come help raise money for food security. Little Earth is the only native-preference Section 8 HUD in the US. The majority of our residents rely on governmental assistance to meet basic needs, and over 50% of them are youth. With the defunding of SNAP, we are facing massive struggles.

I grew up on commodities. I know what it's like to have parents breaking their bodies just to try to make ends meet and barely getting by. Its hard out here. I want to make sure everyone gets the same shot I did. We all deserve a better future. I want these children to inherit a world we are proud to leave them. We've done a shit job so far, but we can fix that.

In times of hardship, we take care of each other.
