A quick breakdown of how I made last week’s Reel.
My goal with this project was to explore how you can blend real footage with different tools in @higgsfield.ai while still staying in control of the creative process.
I honestly had a ton of fun with this experiment. It’s been great for saving time and replacing older methods for certain effects - whether that’s masking or filling in a frame like the paper scene.
Looking forward to experimenting more with this and seeing what else it can do.

Creativity can be complicated.
Some days it feels like you’re on top of the world. Other days, even the simplest idea takes hours to form.
Over the last few years, I’ve found that spending time in nature and pushing myself to learn something new are two of the best ways to refine my creativity.
Lately, I’ve been experimenting with the tools in Higgsfield, and honestly, not only has it allowed me to revisit old ideas, but it’s also been a lot of fun.

The craziest adventure of my life.
6 months ago I got a call from my friend Dan to go on a horseback ride through the mountains of Kyrgyzstan.
I’d never been to this side of the world, never rode a horse, and at the time it made no sense for me to go.

The Chaos of the City
On my recent trip to New York, @higgsfield.ai challenged me to push my creativity using the new Cinema Studio 2.0. By combining the footage I shot with its tools, I was able to create effects that would’ve normally taken hours.
In this video I used two techniques:
City in the Eye Reflection - I combined a macro shot of an eyeball with a timelapse we filmed of the city. Instead of rotoscoping and manually tracking the eye, Cinema Studio blended the two together while I used the Director Panel to tweak lighting and add a subtle radial blur.
Floating Person - I captured a clean tripod frame, then another with me standing where the floating person would be. Using Nanobanna, I generated a frame of me floating, then animated it in Cinema Studio. Without this, I would’ve had to roto and track the entire shot manually.

I’ve always felt getting into a creative state takes two things - a focused mind and responsive tools.
The mind comes up with the ideas, the tools help shape them.
For a while I wasn’t sure how to feel about AI.
It can do some really cool things… but I never liked the idea of it replacing the creative process. I think it really comes down to how you use it.
When it’s treated as a tool, it can actually guide ideas in a way I haven’t experienced before.
So over the next few months I’m going to experiment with it and share what I learn along the way.
For this one I tested the Sketch to Video workflow in Kling 3.0:
Step 1: Photograph your storyboard/sketch and upload it to @higgsfield.ai
Step 2: Use NanoBanana Pro to generate a clean reference image (make sure this is good)
Step 3: Animate in Kling 3.0 - be specific so it keeps the sketch style
