Time in this basin. To feel its rhythm. To listen to its pulse.. running, walking, wandering about, lying, sitting, gazing.. day dreaming.. what a time 💛💛 filled with energy and potential making ideas; can’t wait to get back into the workshop and start testing things.. I’ll be back in Winter when the ground is blanketed in snow, can’t wait! This place is a place to be shared, if anyone wants to come and visit me next time?

I have loved studying thus far, it has been a privilege to indulge in the time it takes to read and reflect and day dream about art working.. but this summer I really wanted to get dirt under my nails, and flowers out of my head.. seeing Mike’s chaotic and wacky playground-for-all in Sydney got me energised to build my own outdoor sculptural feature.. if anyone has bricks odd/old/broken etc that you’ve been planning to take to the tip, send them my way! Viva el jardín! 🌱
Some rings have found their fingers, some are yet waiting to be found.. heading out to Breaker Bay this afternoon to hang with my spectral beings one last time @threeeyesgallery (the show is on till Sunday 30th November, but I’m flying over to Aussie this week).. I’ve just loved showing in this space.. Donna, your warmth and kindness is unmatched. Your ability to facilitate conversations around art and design and living as a creative has been so wonderful.

‘The Hallucination Problem’ - a show of sketches, made visible in sculptural jewellery form.. in the field of artificial intelligence, a term has been coined to articulate a reoccurring issue. To “hallucinate” with the context of the artificial neural network is to throw up factual illusions, formed by real and factual data. A metaphor for my making process, real experiences and factual information result in a sculpture that has little to do with the original data. Any perceived parallels are coincidental.
