today marks the 10th anniversary of me moving to Vienna. I've always orbited around Märzstraße and the church building functioned as my personal lighthouse. I moved with 1 carload of stuff, had a tiny plant on my lap the whole trip from Salzburg (which most probably won't fit on my lap no more) and was excited and scared to see what the leap of faith may bring. It brought encounters I am most grateful for: with artists and art, and countless wonderful folks. it brought love for writing, skills in curating and opened up spaces I didn't imagine would exist. thank you Vienna and to many new encounters 🌸🤍💫

happy to have contributed a text for Raphaela Riepl and her beautiful show Peripetie – περιπέτεια
currently on view at @galerie_3 in vienna
please join us for the artist talk on Nov 26, from 6 pm 💫⚡️
an excerpt from the text:
Light is impulsive energy: when it encounters matter, absorption, refraction, reflection, deceleration, or scattering of its countless photons occurs. Photons are born in the in-between – conceived through changes in the states of electrons, they leap from the metaphorical quantum egg. They have no intrinsic mass, yet their angular momentum makes them dynamic balancing particles. For Raphaela Riepl, the dance of photons becomes legible as an alphabet. They turn light into a language that expresses the atmospheric qualities of space and time through rhythmic repetitions of its immaterial motion.
