Sometimes you don’t love how a plate prints, and that’s okay. Printmaking teaches patience in ways you don’t always expect 😆 I pulled the first print of this Tetrapak plate and honestly… it fell flat. My inking and wiping weren’t quite there, so it’s missing the depth I was hoping for. But I’m not giving up on it, I’m dialing in the technique and sticking with the process. First prints from a plate made using a recycled Tetrapak milk carton Inked à la poupée, with two different chine-collé variations. I had planned a green + purple chine-collé version, but it just didn’t work out! I never seem to capture the stage where I’m drawing into the Tetrapak with an etching needle and scalpel, but this time I managed to include as much of the inking process as possible—swipe to take a look. #tetrapakprint #intaglioprintmaking #printmakingprocess
