out now // 'die wellen' // album
when we released Fractura del Sueño with
@lowless_records it felt like the last stop, or more like the ultimate reward, of years and years of working on music to finally prove myself I could do a worthy conceptual work. But of course, at the same time, that was only the first stone of a way longer path that now shines and pulls with strong hope, passion, and pure excitement for never stopping. The best thing about this is that you realize you still have a long-ass road of learning.
today we put a new mark with
@9128live and
@astrangelyisolatedplace with 'die wellen', the second album of ameeva. A work that has grown during several stages for almost two years. First, it became a recording that once was done, I didn't feel like sharing. It was the sound mark of a difficult time for me, and it felt like a diary entry you write to release yourself and get mental peace, and you don't want others to read. After some months, I listened to it again, it was a good recording, and I thought that exposing one's personal side is actually one of the responsibilities of a musician and artist.
From here, it went into different revisions and ideas. From a first concept of the representation of sea waves into sound to being inspired by Virgina Woolf's narrative power in her book 'The Waves', and finally ending as a personal log of motives, recordings, and small stories.
It's also a strange release. For me at least. This isn't negative. But it feels almost like a dense but foggy story, with unrelated narratives that are somehow packed in the same space and time, and a body of more sound than music. But I leave this up to you.
