Titled: “Not Even A Real Person”
This editorial was inspired by the juxtaposition between the life of a young adult and a homeless individual. If we can be honest there is only a fine line that separates both parties. Both struggle with feeling alone, mental illness, drug use, financial problem etc. Yet we put one on a pedestal and frown upon the other.
Seeing the molds referenced as the homeless on the all white seamless gives reference to museum-like imagery. Which shifts the perspective, instead of getting lost in the ordinary way people view homelessness. I wanted to find beauty in the grit.
