Our wonderful Nuseirat team made Eid a little sweeter for dozens of families in Central Gaza yesterday, for the Day of Arafah.
As one of our many Eid distribution projects across Gaza, they handed out:
🥗 20 fresh vegetable parcels
🍉 each including half a watermelon
🍪 and a small bag of Eid biscuits for each child (over 100 little bags) lovingly distributed on the street to some of the most in-need families in their area.
This food relief and these small joys can mean a lot in the middle of so much hardship.

These brothers Hassan and Saad are out several days a week across North Gaza delivering vegetable parcels and other needs (such as nappies and formula) and have been doing this non-stop for us at @_allourrelations for almost 2 months.
As Israel’s (ongoing) blockade has descended Gaza into a complete starvation crisis, @hassan___alhana and @saeed_alhana are relieving suffering wherever and however they can.

Samar Fawzi Zree is a 32-year-old mama with seven children (four of her own and three adopted).
She is suffering from late-stage bone cancer. She also suffers multiple complex chronic illnesses. She currently has no access to proper treatment, and not even the right medication to relieve her constant, excruciating pain.
About a year ago, her husband (and children’s dad) went out to find food in the midst of the g3nocide, he never came back.
Now, Samar is struggling to fight for her life with her body rapidly deteriorating. They were all living on the street in a make-shift tent made from plastic for a long time but now they are living in a small caravan that All Our Relations managed to source for them.
There is no electricity or clean water and they have one phone between them. They get data cards when they can afford to, so only have limited internet access.
Her children Mohammed (14), Soad (13), Malak (5), Howaida (2) all suffer immune and health issues and struggle with the trauma from the Genocide. One of them is severely disabled.
Samar lives with her husband’s mama Suad (who also has cancer, diabetes, chronic pain and is disabled) and her friend (and sister in law) Mayeda.
They have also taken in 3 babies who are orphans because their whole family was bombed. They are Destiny (8 months), Fadi (11 months) and Tulin (1).
They have no income or any way at all to earn money for their basic needs like medicine, health care, food, toiletries, nappies, formula and clothes.
Samar is in extreme pain, fighting late-stage cancer whilst suffering trauma and immense grief (at the same time as trying to support all the children).

Elham and Mohammed… where do we even begin 💛
Every single day, in the middle of everything that is happening around them, they show up.
Through their daily food kitchen in Nuseirat, they are preparing fresh, nourishing meals for 40–80 families a day — families who are living through unimaginable conditions. Severe hunger, makeshift shelters, insects, disease, constant instability… and still, somehow, there is a hot meal waiting for them, made with love.
Elham and Mohammed are holding people through the hardest days of their lives. And they do it with so much dignity, strength, and care for others. We are in awe of them.
We will keep standing with them. We will keep showing up. But we can only do that with you.

I am doing everything I can to make our fundraising more sustainable so that we can continue to offer people food security, shelter and most importantly hope for a better future.
Everyone's life in G z is a hellish purgatory. The occupation has kettled people living in one of the most overpopulated strips of land to less than 55% of its territory. Conditions are abysmal, people are not receiving regular donations to their fundraising pages as they did previously. Life has become almost impossible for people. What we are trying to do is remain a consistent resource for people in Gaza. Most charities are still being blocked from entering so people are left to fend for themselves in the world's largest concentration camp.
The never again promise was a lie, we can see this in the brutal occupation's treatment of the Palestinian people and the complicity of so called Western democratic nations.
I am exhausted and stressed, but I will not abandon the people of G.
If hope is all I have left then I'm going to lean into that.
We have to stop thinking of ourselves as individuals and start acknowledging our collective responsibiliuty to help people who have nothing.
