I welcomed a very dear friend from Paris over for lunch, so I wanted the table setting to feel feminine and glamorous (just like her). I layered the table in vintage linens, delicate pinks, embroidered details, and romantic florals.
Table inspiration can come from anywhere: the season, what’s in bloom, or simply the guest you’re waiting to welcome. This one was guided by my chic friend, and the desire to create something she would adore.
I adore flowers, whether they come from a florist, my garden, or the local grocery store. I recently hosted a tea party that I wanted to feel like an English garden, so I picked up $69 worth of blooms (a total bargain!) from Trader Joe’s and got to work. With just a pinch of creativity, I turned simple stems into delightfully charming arrangements. And if you need one more reason to DIY your next floral arrangement, remember that grocery store flowers = more money for shoes, and we LOVE new shoes!!
My take on Carolyn Bessette Kennedy’s style:
Take inspiration, refine it through your own lens, and let it become something unmistakably yours. Your style should never be a copy, it should be a signature.
