Sound Design for ʜᴏᴍᴇᴛᴏᴡɴ ʜᴇʀᴏᴇꜱ | @mlbjapan ⚾️ pt.2 I collaborated with @finalfrontier.tv and Wieden+Kennedy Tokyo @wktokyo on a unique series of twelve animated films for Major League Baseball Japan @mlbjapan , directed by @blublustudios The project blends augmented reality with traditional 2D animation, bringing MLB All-Star Japanese players to life in a new and immersive way. To launch the 2025/2026 season, W+K Tokyo created custom-designed AR manhole covers placed in each player’s hometown across Japan. When scanned, they unlock vibrant animations that connect the physical and digital worlds. Each of the twelve manhole covers was illustrated by a different Japanese artist, each with a distinct style that set the tone for the corresponding animated film. This diversity required a tailored approach to both animation and sound design, ensuring every story felt as unique as the player behind it.
